Founded by Gareth Williams
WMD specialise in powertrain control solutions and systems engineering across a wide variety of motorsport disciplines.
Gareth started WMD alongside his role of Senior Lecturer in Motorsport Engineering at a leading UK University, due to demand via word of mouth for engine calibration and wiring harness manufacture.
Prior to this academic role Gareth was a trackside engine engineer with Toyota Gazoo Racing WRC and was working directly with the drivers for the 2018-2020 season championship title wins. His broad experience also spans similar roles in WEC and IMSA Sportscar Championships in both LMP1 and Daytona Prototype classes.
WMD prides itself on being able to provide complete motorsport electronic packages including hardware, integration and final calibration (mapping) to the consumer at an OEM motorsport standard. We have experience of working with a wide variety of systems such as Bosch Motorsport, Magnetti Marelli, Cosworth Electronics and Life Racing, and have been Life Racing and Syvecs distributors for a number of years with a expanding global client base.
